Doug is the Founder and Chief Strategist of Bellwoods Strategy, a Toronto-based consultancy focused on strategic clarity and coherence, helping organizations align what they say with what they do. He brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across advisory and operating roles in professional services, private capital, and civic and political life.

Deeply committed to civic life and the public welfare, Doug serves on several non-profit and charitable boards. 

Doug is the author of the Bellwoods Perspectives series, where he writes about strategy, hope, and how clarity and story shape culture and collective action.

A proud Saskatchewan son now based in Toronto, Doug is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His decision to join Section 1 reflects a deeply held conviction that an informed citizenry and a living constitution are not abstract ideals, but daily responsibilities.
