Simon is the co-founder of Nature Labs – a virtual high school textbook that engages 75,000+ students from across Canada. Nature Labs is built on a foundation of balanced storytelling, using nature as a powerful metaphor to bring Social Studies, Science, English, Art, and Career lessons to life, empowering a new generation to think critically and act creatively, today and every day.
Simon is a storyteller and movement builder on a mission to help every Canadian understand their place in the challenges we face. At the age of 13, Simon Jackson founded the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition and spent two decades working to unite the voices of six million young people in the successful pursuit of protecting the last intact habitat of the endangered white Kermode or spirit bear. For his efforts, he has been named a Hero for the Planet by Time Magazine and was the inspiration for the movie Spirit Bear: The Simon Jackson Story.
Simon is also a brilliant producer of engaging video content. He has recently produced Section1’s S.I.D.E. video series.
