Alicia Payne
Co-founder, Arbez Drama Projects; Multidisciplinary Storyteller
Alicia Payne is a multi-disciplinary storyteller with credits in theatre, film, television, and radio. Her professional memberships include, ACTRA, CAEA, Dramatists Guild of America and Playwrights Guild of Canada where she served as president.
As an artist educator, Alicia co-facilitates youth leadership workshops for Community Builders and has taught youth to co-create graphic novels and short operas inspired by their neighborhoods. Alicia participated in the BIPOC TV & Film Kids’ TV Writing Bootcamp.
She is also an adaptive facilitator for the Metcalf Foundation Staging Change Program and a co-founder of Arbez Drama Projects, whose plays include, D Cup, a comedy about caregiving, and Justice for Maurice Carter, a play with music based on the true story of a wrongful conviction.
