Alper Yilmaz is currently completing his law degree at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Common Law. With a background in classics, and philosophy, he has a deep interest in the foundations of Western thought. His research interests involve epistemology, the history and development of the Enlightenment project, and their impact on the modern political landscape. He is committed to the instrumental roles of civics and liberal education as effective and necessary antidotes to democratic backsliding.
