Daniel Clarke-Serret
Senior Fellow and Democracy Analyst (U.K., Western Europe, Israel)

Daniel is a qualified barrister of Lincoln’s Inn London, a writer and poet, a teacher of foreign languages (French and Spanish) and a linguist. Daniel has worked in schools at primary and secondary level throughout the UK and in Zaragoza, Spain where he currently lives. He has taught children in the private and state sectors, in inner cities and in the countryside and as both a class teacher and a private tutor. In recent years, he has advised primary schools in the UK and Spain on how to improve their Maths provision and the quality of their Maths teaching. Elsewhere, Daniel has been a prolific writer. As a poet, his work has won the New York-based Spillwords.com’s Publication of the Month July 2023 and was shortlisted for January 2024’s Publication of the Year. He has written over 100 articles on his Substack newsletter “Guerre and Shalom”, where he writes fearlessly and regularly on public affairs, geopolitics, democracy, liberty and matters of war,  peace, truth and lies. Daniel has appeared in the Spanish media since October 2023 on the matter of the Israel-Gaza war and he is passionate about formulating innovative, realistic ideas for resolving the Middle Eastern conflict. Finally, he looks forward to continuing to participate in public debate as a writer, speaker and idea-conjurer in the coming decades as liberal democracy and freedom come under unceasing attack.
